I am just so upset over this. So some extra hugs to help me would be great...
Tim who is our QC guy just moved back from Peru (he was there for 3 months to do training with our Lima call center). When Tim returned to the US it was agreed upon that his significant other John would work with us and in CS and would report to me. I was so excited. I think John is awesome. He would be a huge asset to the team. I've been excited all week waiting for him to start (they returned to the US on Sunday)
Well I found out today at 5pm that John is in critical condition in the hospital. The doctors did additional testing on him because he was not healing from the gallbladder operation and their were things that were not coming back normal. He has liver failure. My boss called me into his office and was really gentle and kind in breaking the news to me. My boss doesnt know what the outcome is going to be and right now the doctors are just keeping him comfortable. he asked me not to say anything on the floor. I just sat there speachless. My boss said to me "I know I feel the same way".
Tim started the beneficiary paperwork today at work and has started to prepare himself for the worst.
So if you can please spare some prayers for John, he really needs them and I could use some hugs.

UPDATE February 26, 2007 I received word this morning, that John will not joining my team. Sadly, he only has 6 - 12 months.
I know my boss was going on line today looking up information about liver failure and he was getting upset reading everything. He finally just shut his computer down and walked away.
So I started this evening and I just pray he isnt in pain.
