Re: More lighting questions!

First of all, I have to say that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the color!!! What is it and who is it by?

As for lighting, have you considered getting a ceiling fan? They make some pretty nice ones these days...

ETA: Or depending on how formal your furniture is a small chandelier.

I have no furniture yet...so I don't know the look I'm going for. I am getting my old black baby grand piano and I'd like to have a sofa with a chaise on one end. I just had no idea if I should do a fan or a fixture.Chat Icon

Ooh if you're planning on putting a piano in there I would say go for a fixture or chandellier. I think that would look so nice!!!

Thanks for the info on the color too!!!

I think it depends on the layout of your furniture. A chandelier could look really nice. Also, they have the remote control ceiling fans now, so there are no wire hanging down and they look much better than older models of ceiling fans.

A dark colored chandeler...maybe rordiron (sp)? It might look great with that color.

I would probably do a wrought iron light fixture. I love how the white fireplace contrasts with the walls. That was a good decision Stef!!

since your fireplace accesories are wrought iron, id do a wrought iron chandelier

I think something lik the pics posted would look awesome hung really close to the ceiling. You will need more lamps or something though in a room that size. LOVE the wall colors & your fireplace! great job!
