Please tell me about the ATSW exam.....
I am taking this exam in two weeks. So far I have taken and passed the LAST. Is it anything like that? I have also taken the GRE's way back when. Is it anything like this exam? Any information would be great. Should I study something?

It's easy. It's not like the LAST. I didn't even know what was on the ATSW, but i passed first try. If I remember correctly, it's more writing.
It's the CST you need to worry about.

Re: Please tell me about the ATSW exam.....
If you've taken any education courses, it should be a breeze.
It's your "assessment of teaching skills" test. One of my questions was:
A child constantly misbehaves in your class. Do you: a) use physical punishment to deter him from misbehaving again b) yell at him in front of the class in an attempt to humiliate him so he will not misbehave again c) assume there is nothing you can do because he is genetically predisposed to misbehavior d) schedule a meeting with his guidance counselor or other support staff to get to the root of his problems. Talk with parents, teachers, and other colleagues who have insight into his metal state and work together to formulate a plan to reward him for good behavior to encourage him to do the right thing.
I'm paraphrasing a bit because it's been 8 years, but you get the drift!
