PLEASE tell me someone else has had this issue
about once a month, i empty out my cat's litter box and wash it with soap and water.... in the summer/spring/fall, i do it outside with the hose since its not freezing outside.... but in the winter i'll do it in the bathtub since its really cold... i do it in the downstairs bathtub since we dont use that bathtub ever and the shower actually needs to be fixed so we couldnt use it even if we wanted to. i would basically dump out all the litter in the garbage and remove as much litter as i could off the side of the box (my cat is fat and makes a big mess... there is usually little bits of litter stuck to the side of the box) but i figure that the amount of litter that was going down the drain wouldnt really matter
WELL i guess i was wrong b/c i noticed on sunday that the bathroom smelled like pee... so i looked in the bathtub thinking the dog peed in there or something and there was nothing. so i turned the water on and there is obviously a clog. i saw some bits of cat litter floating around the top of the little puddle that was created due to the water not being able to go down
so DH is basically ready to KILLLL me and i dont know what to do b/c im not sure if draino (sp?) is going to be able to take care of this since its CAT LITTER and not a hair clump lol
PLEASE tell me this has happened to someone else? or im just a complete idiot

If Draino doesn't work, use a plunger on the drain. It should bring up the clog.

do yourself a favor and get the litter box liners! it is so much easier to clean out the litter. I pick up the bag out of the box and throw it all in the trash then I wash down the box, so much easier and I dont worry about having to touch dirty litter.
