Please tell me this is normal....

it's been almost 4 weeks since my miscarriage and I was just talking to my brother's gf who told me her sister in law is 8 weeks pregnant ( I would have been 11 weeks now) and I had to get off the phone with her bc I started to cry.

I am so happy for her sis in law but I can't help but think that I was supposed to have a baby too and it was taken away from me.

OK....pity party over!!!

Thanks for listening Chat Icon

I think its normal. I am doing ok with everyone who is pregnant. But I started crying when someone announced they were pregnant on facebook. I am so jealous that they are telling everyone and not afraid that something will go wrong.

totally totally normal! i felt this way after we lost our baby and i still feel like this now. i'm very happy for my friends that are preggo but it still hurts. i honestly just let myself feel the emotions b/c i think they are more damaging if you bottle them up. hang in there Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Awww YES this is normal!!

I feel the same way!! It's terrible. I'm sooo sorry!! I feel like it was all given to me and then taken away. It's hard to when you see others in the place that you were once in. Like a reminder of what you had. It's a difficult thing to deal with... and the "breakdowns" just happen.

It is absolutely normal....When my brother told me that they were expecting- I immediately started to cry...I was thrilled for them but I just couldn't help it!

Totally normal. I have had many moments like that since my m/c. You can still be happy for someone and sad for yourself. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

it's totally normal.
Just about 2 hours ago, my co-worker told me his wife is about 14 wks. I"m happy for them, but as soon as he left my office, I started to cry.

Re: Please tell me this is normal....

I just had DVC Saturday and have a baby shower to go to this Sunday. I plan on going bc it's DH's Cosuin...but ...I hope I don't have to excuse myself. some people say it's not a good idea for me to go. I just feel like I shouldn't let my misfortune get in the way of me being there for someone elses good fortune. When the time is right...I'm sure they'll be there for me too.
