I would go with the personalized burp cloths or the personalized hooded bath towels...
My standard gift I give is a set of the personalized burpcloths and a hooded towel or something else personalized...
I use this website-- www.lanascloset.com and her stuff comes out beautiful.... and her prices are moderate.. i have also used redenvelope and potterybarn for the same stuff depending on the person i send it to...
I feel you can never get enough burpcloths and when you go out for a nice occasion with the baby., I always liked using nice ones... The hooded towel I always use when giving baths..
The sweater set is nice but when Jacob was born i had about 10 sweaters and I never got to wear them all...
This is my opinion...

I got a friend the 4th one (sweater set) when she had her baby, but had the entire name embroidered on the sweater. I can't remember where I got it from, honestly. It was her favorite thing someone brought her to the hospital. Her daughter is too big to wear it now, but she says she's going to save it.
