My best friend just called me. Her sister has been battling cancer for about 8 years - up and down, in remission and not, and there is just nothing left that the doctors can do. They are inducing a coma and taking her off the ventilator.
She is 35 years old, and one of the kindest souls I have ever met. I have so many happy memories of her. My best friend just got married in July and I planned her shower and b-party with her sister.
Please, I hate to ask, send prayers to my friend's family.
Update: She passed away this afternoon at 3:45pm, with her husband and family by her side. Thank you for all of your prayers.
