Pls. share with me what your dr. told you about switching to milk...

DD had her 12 month visit yesterday and he said 2% milk was fine, I asked only cause that is what we use now for coffee and such.

I thought they could ONLY have whole milk?

My doc said whole milk only because the fat content is essential for their developement right now. I never asked about the 2%.

My doc told us whole milk that DD needs the extra fat content. Research says the same thing when they are at this age.

We told told whole milk only.

but, I do know that there's not much difference between whole and 2%, the big difference starts at 1%

I was told whole milk until 2yrs old.

Thanks ladies, I have read whole milk also, but he did said whole milk is 3% , so that 2% would be just fine. I am going to switch the family to whole milk.

I don' t know why but I ALWAYS 3nd guess the dr.'s i HAVE to come on here and ask the Mommy Docs. also!
