PODS? Experiences, Recs?
We will be closing on our house hopefully next month, but we can't move in immediately because we need to have the floors done. I would rather get out of the house before closing so was thinking of trying PODS or something similar so we can pack everything in there, have it moved to the house and then unpack it when everything is done in the house. We would stay at our in-laws in the meantime.
Does anyone have any experience with PODS? Are there any local places that do the same thing? Thanks!

Re: PODS? Experiences, Recs?
we are in simillar situtaion we will be in our current house for about a month before we move into the new one so DH looked into pods and it was kind of expensice it was going to be i think around 350 to use a pod for a month. they charge when you move it from one spot to another and then charge again to pick it up on top of the monthly fee.
we decided its not worth the cost since a moving truck will cost us about $100 we will just pack and slowly move things over once some rooms are done.

We had a similar situation, we moved in with family for a month between houses. We used a company called Zippy Shell...they were great. He brings you the pod, you load it, and he takes it back to their storage facility for as long as you need. It was the cheapest option too, I called around.

It was ok. We did it when we were in between houses. We had 2 pods and the costs add up. I also found that we packed it well and braced things but still had soft in transit and ended up with a few scratches on furniture.
