PODS?? Please state your experiences.
Do they charge you by the day to keep it at your home until you are ready for them to pick it up?
Can you tell me your experiences good, bad or indiffrent?

Re: PODS?? Please state your experiences.
We used the larger POD container for about 6 months--we just had it picked up 2 weeks ago. They were great--pick up and delivery were on time. There is a delivery fee, and a pick up fee (about $90 each) and monthly fees. For a larger container it was about $200 a month. Your fees will depend on the size of the container (I believe there are 2 sizes) and if you want insurance. You can insure for the contents of the container, or just for the actual container. Insurance for the actual container is an additional $10.00 a month--I am not sure how much $ for content insurance. When you call to order, they ask specifics of where you want it placed--where you want the door facing, etc. There is no time limit as to how long you can or must keep it. You pay for by month, but you do not get a refund/credit if you decide to have it picked up before the end of that month. We used the POD for onsight storage, so I don't know how they are delivering from site to site.
Hope that helpsl. Good luck!

Re: PODS?? Please state your experiences.
my DH uses them all the time for his customers. He usually has them stored in the PODS warehouse, he has always been very happy with the service.

I love them. I used them when I was moving. It was great, because I took a whole week to pack and just locked the container. I had them delivered my pod to my new place and took two weeks to unpack. It was defitely nicer then renting a truck for just one day, but it does cost a bit more.

Re: PODS?? Please state your experiences.
We looked into them for storing almost eveything in our house as we are having construction done. It was actually about $20 cheaper per month to have them store it at their facility (as opposed to your residence). There is a drop off and a pick up charge.
Our town told us we needed a $125 permit to get one We ended up not needing it because we had enough storage elsewhere.
