Implying that democrats stink (GAGGING FROM THE STINK!!!!) is rather disturbing to have to go that low to justify who you want to vote. IMHO!
That does not make any argument intelligent.

I guess I'm one of the liberals who has been hiding all day, but I'm sorry, I can't keep my mouth shut on this one.
I will preface this by saying I am a self-proclaimed flaming liberal so I may easily take things the wrong way. Add on top of that the fact that I'm a civil rights attorney who reads through complaints of race discrimination everyday, I understand my sensitivity on this issue is somewhat heightened.
I don't know if maybe it's because I rifle through complaint after complaint everyday and had specific training on race discrimination, but one thing I am aware of is that a traditional racist stereotype that has been thrown around for decades is that african americans "stink".
I understand this is political humor, but in this highly, highly charged environment, I don't think it's appropriate and I can't deny that I found this line disturbing.
And that's all I'm going to say about that...

This part refers to the fact that Obama wants to give tax credits to people who paid no income tax at all, not just those who make less than $250k.

Also, I think the number is $200k now. Those above that number would get taxed a bit more now.

Um sorry but that is wrong:
1. People who don't owe taxes when they file their income tax at year end, have paid Payroll taxes all year long. This is INCOME TAX!!!
2.If you make between $250-$600 you will pay $12 more in taxes, if you make under $200-250K your taxes will stay the same and if you make under $200K your taxes will go down
Seriuously I am tired of writign the same thing people! Thank God tomorrow is election day!

Sorry. I thought I just saw this on CNN. I actually think it would be good to have an additional tax. We need to get the additional funds from somewhere. Also, could you spell check? My eyes are hurting!!!

Thanks for pointing this out Beth. As an Obama supporter, I thought it was pretty funny until I got to that verse. When I read the words it just stung. It was a low blow IMO.

Beth, I never heard of that association, just want to state that and therefore I didn't think of it like that. But I don't doubt what you are saying and would not find that amusing if I knew it was meant like that.

I didn't think of it like that and never heard of that association, just want to clear that up.
I didn't think of it that way either. Stink was used because it rhymes with WINK. I thought of it and still do as being harmless. I think in anything if you look hard enough for something to get offended over you will find it.

Yes, I thought it meant stink like "Full of sh!t" when you BS someone. I def did not make a race association with the word stink and really never would have thought of that.

you can say the same about glossing over it. you can either see a connection or not.
it doesn't mean anything to you, but it can to someone else.
I chose to see it in a lighthearted way..but someone else...with racial hatred in their heart...will take it as gospel.
