Poll- Are you afraid to eat eggs over easy/sunny side up?
I was eating breakfast this am, eggs over medium, and thought to ask you ladies...
Are you afraid to eat eggs over easy/sunnyside up/medium for fear of salmonella?
Or do you do it? I have eaten them this way for years, never got sick but it does cross my mind. But I eat them anyway as long as the white around the yolk has started to cook...

I'm not afraid to eat them, but the thought of eating eggs that way turns my stomach. I cannot eat eggs runny in any way shape or form.

I'm the exact same. That runny yolk skeeves me so bad. And DH always orders poached eggs which are even grosser IMO.

Sunny side up is a little too runny for me, I prefer over easy.

I prefer them over easy so to avoid the slime factor that sunny side up sometimes has.
But salmonella never crossed my mind while eating them!! I love my yolks runny.

Same here! Yuck. I even order my omlettes "well done" because I don't want to see anything even mildly jiggly on my plate. DH loves runny eggs though.

I am one of those people who are afraid to eat them that way. DH makes them that way sometimes and I won't touch them because I think they aren't cooked properly and that I will get sick. I'm sure its all in my head but I'll stick with my eggs scrambled

I do that all the time. Whenever we go out for breakfast, I always emphasize well done eggs please!

mmm love it runny, but not TOO runny. I like it over medium. Poached is good too.
But since I've been pregnant, I don't eat them that way. I can't wait until I can have eggs benedict again! I hate scrambled eggs.

I love eggs over easy and medium-boiled eggs. As long as the white is totally solid and the yellow is runny, it's the best!
