Poll: How much did your baby furniture cost?
I haven't even begn to look, but my in-laws are giving us quite a bit of money towards it, so I was just curious as to what I am in for.
I can't get the poll to post right....oh well....just need some ideas - thanks!

Initially we planned to buy it ourselves. However, my sisters are now buying it for us. It was relatively expensive (over $2k)

we didn't get all matching pieces, so i saved a little $$ that way (we just cared that it was all white)
i got my tall dresser from ikea, that was $140 with tax.
the crib is a popular one (da vinci emily), but the cheapest price i found was rfom babycenter.com, it was $305 with free shipping.
then i found the matching da vinci changing table at isisnursery.com for just $272 (again, free shipping).
the bedding was a gift off of our registry, and when we get the crib mattress, it will still be less than $1000 total.
i wanted good quality pieces, but i couldn't see spending an arm and a leg, because we needed to save $$ for when i was out of work.
if we need to replace any pieces for the next baby, so be it - i won't be that upset.

With my son a total of $2200. With this one probably a total of $250 but i havent gotten the crib yet. I learned my lesson with number 1. That was way too much money to spend.

I have 2 beautiful antiqe pieces from my Grandmother that I'm giong to have refinished - They weigh about 900 lbs each and are gogreous - but kind of small for adult furniture ........(I guess people were much smaller 100 years ago !!)
So I really only have to 'buy' a crib .........The one I like is about $400 -God knows what it's going to cost me to have the pieces refinished though, I'm afraid to find out !!

We had each piece bought by different family members, we really only paid for one or two pieces, so it did end up getting pricey
