POLL: What would you do if you were offered another job right after starting the one you have?
If you were at your job for a short time (month or so) and then another offer came along that you liked better, what would you do? Please take my poll. TIA!
Assume you're pleased with the new offer, but also equally as happy with what you've got.

Do what's better for YOU. Companies always do what's better for them....you have to look out for yourself.

I totallly agree-- and it happens all the time. When people are looking for a job, they generally are interviewing at a couple of different places.. it's not unheard of.
Definitely make the choice that is better for YOU.

Ideally, I would take the job if I knew I wasn't happy with the current gig.
If I was happy with the current gig I wouldn't.
However...I once made the mistake of not taking the new gig when I hated the current gig...

Ditto.
You never know when you may run into those people again.
Example: We had a training coordinator who was supposed to start last Monday.
She called Monday morning at 7:00 to tell us she had changed her mind and gone with another opportunity.
She's been officially flagged in our system as "Not rehireable" for the lack of professionalism in handling the decision.
She'll never be able to work here.
