We don't, but DD isn't walking yet. They are proposing a bill to make it a law to have one in Suffolk - on the news they said they run between $100 and $300 and that local stores have been running out ever since the incident in Shirley.

My parents have a pool and my mom watches my DD and will be watching my DS. They don't have an alarm but they have an above ground pool with a deck/fence all the way around it.
The stairs go up and are up at all times except for when we are using it. The stairs are locked at the top. Its hard enough for myself to get the stairs down, so I know I don't have to worry about any toddlers getting it down.
