Pool party ideas and lifeguard rec. needed
We are having a pool party for our (almost!) 6 year old's birthday. Our lifeguard has backed out and we are in need of a recommendation for a lifeguard or two for next weekend. Also looking for ideas for the kids who aren't interested in the pool. It's a 2-hour party with both boys and girls attending. The theme is retro Godzilla :) We were throwing around the idea of setting up a lego table in the shade - We have a huge bucket full and would just dump them out on the table. There won't be any children younger than 4 who would choke on them. Does this sound like something "cool"? Any other ideas? This Godzilla theme is a tough one :) I appreciate any input

I know of a ToBay/T.O.B lifeguard... I taught with him this year, unfortunately his teaching position was a victim of budget cuts I'm pretty sure he is working next weekend but if you FM me the location and time of the party I can contact him.

Did you check orientally trading for a craft? How about some games like toss the hoop, or basketball. I think legos on a big blanket is better so they are not falling off the table all over. Or water guns But I do think its a good idea.
Did you check oriental trading for a craft? I would possibly set up a craft table. WIth a couple of choices.
YOu could set up a huge paper and have everyone sign a card for your son...Some kids will just right their names while others will spend some time drawing pictures.
DO you have a swingset?

Thank you all for the replies :)
Yes, there is a swing set, but it doesn't have much shade and can get really hot during that part of the day :(
Are water balloons too "rough" for 4-6 year olds?

It's sorta still water related but at my DD's party the slip & slide was a huge hit & some adults even made use of it.
Bean bag toss? jump ropes nerf balls bubbles chalk
A craft would be a good idea
make your own sundae bar
