Pork Roast recipe?
I bought one..now I have to figure out how to cook it.
I've made it on the BBQ before but not in the oven.
I'm thinking some soy saucey, mustardy balsamicy appley type marinade.

Re: Pork Roast recipe?
That sounds good! I usually do something with baked apples on the side.
My friend made a pork roast for Christmas this year and baked it on quite a low temp for 6 hours, she said it was fantastic. I might try it soon.

Re: Pork Roast recipe?
what I usually do is make a paste out of:
duck sauce mustard minced garlic
I slather it all over the pork roast. Put it in the bottom of a pan. Pour a bottle of good beer in the bottom of the pan. Slice up an onion and an apple in the bottom of the pan and put in the oven at 350 for a few hours until it starts falling apart. You may have to add more liquid to the bottom of the pan. If you don't want to use beer, apple cider tastes good too.

Re: Pork Roast recipe?
OMG I made an awesome one for Christmas but it would require the Tastefully Simple Pomogranate Chipotle Sauce (or something of the sort).
I bought a 6.25 pound roast, wrapped the entire thing in bacon slices and cooked for 2.5 hours at 350 degrees. Pour the bottle of sauce of the pork and cook for an additional ten minutes.
Use the drippings in the pan to add to the pork gravy.
It was phenomenal!!!

that sounds awesome but I was hoping not to wrap the whole thing in bacon. It's going to be fattening enough with whatever I end up putting on it.
I still may try it though.

Re: Pork Roast recipe?
I love Pork Roast.
I usually go pretty simple - I shove sliced of garlic in the flesh, oil it up and use salt, pepper, garlic and maybe a little fresh thyme to season it all over. Sometimes I use Adobo Seasoning. Then I cover with tin foil and slow cook it on 325. I take the foil off in the last 45 minutes, drain the fat, add seasoned potatoes, crank the heat to 400 and let it get a nice browned outside.
If I want to go 'fancy' - I make a rub by putting olive oil, dijon mustard, fresh garlic, fresh thyme, kosher salt and ground pepper into my food processor and rubbing it alllllll over the roast. Delicious.
