Port Orleans Riverside @ Disney
If you stayed there, is it better to take the ferry or the bus to MK?
Also anything we should make sure to do/see at the resort? Never stayed in Disney before, not sure what to expect.

There is only a bus to the MK. No ferry. There is a boat to Downtown Disney. But you must take a bus from POR to the 4 parks.

No problem. The buses were very easy. There is a very nice boat ride, but it goes to French quarter and downtown Disney, not the parks. It was a very relaxing nice ride worth doing once.
You can make a reservation for an evening carriage ride.
Marshmallow roasting was free. Quick service was good with a lot of choices. Very easy to do a pizza one night and swim.
Preferred view rooms are worth it if you are not doing the royal rooms. Request and fax request. We stayed in building 14.
