Portion Sizes
so i just had some lean cuisine ravioli for lunch.
There 5 raviloi in it! Now if I had made them myself i would have eaten 2-3x that easily!
Is that really the size of a normal portion!?!?
needless to say i am still hungry!

Yeah, but that's only like 250 - 300 calories. Of course you're still hungry! Eat a snack!

Re: Portion Sizes
dont get the ravioli
get one of the pastas with broccoli and buy a separate bag of frozen broccoli florets.
open the plastic on the meal, dump half the broccoli on top and put the plastic over it, then micro for 5 minutes or more
the broccoli fills ypu up and adds hardly any calories to the meal

that is such a good idea I have never thought of that!
I eat these a lot....I am just surprised at what a healthy portion of pasta really is.
It's soooo small!

Yea, I agree, add extra veggies. The ravioli dinner is like a snack.

agreed. especially the ravioli.
another filling item is the mexican rice and beans. there is corn in there too and sometimes i will add a little frozen corn to it - and the pasta carbonara - i ill add frozen peas
all of the additions really give it more flavor and make you more full.
adding hot pepper flakes are good too- the spicyness helps.

Thanks!
I find that the spa cuisine ones are a little more filling as well.
I really like the thai chicken (i think that is it) and there is also one with a peanut sauce that is good.

Re: Portion Sizes
I think those meals are great for training on what a portion size is! It's crazy how much we eat!
