POS/ OPK question maybe little tmi
ok heres my problem... im not working now (stay at home wifey for about another 2 months).. so i dont have work to keep my mind off not drinking/not peeing...
i know ideally you can't drink for 2-4 hours and must hold the urine in afternoon to achieve best result with OPK strips..
now its impossible for me to do that.. ive been trying for a week and half... just when i think i waited long enough i go and its very clear (this past time it was seriously clear .. now who has clear pee.. not me! well untill i started this opk process.. i think my bodys saying haha you can't do it)... so im getting fed up with myself.. its so hard to not go (when you know you 'cant' for some reason.. and not drink water when im home not doing too much else
is really how i feel now what is the best way to go about this in your opinion... would FMU be better then clear afternoon stuff? i really need some help here.. im gonna keep trying to do it the way its supposed to be done.. but id like some outside help here... so ladies.. wwyd?

Not sure what your best option is.
With the Clearblue Easy Digital OPKS, for the first month I used FMU. I got my +OPK on CD 17, and only got one postive.
The second month I started to hold my urine for 4 hours and tested in the afternoon. I got a +OPK on CD 17 and on CD 18.
This month, I held in my urine for 4 hours again and got a +OPK on CD 23 and CD 24. AF ended up coming today, CD 39.
So for me, I think I ovulate 14 days after the day following my second +OPK.
The Clearblue digitals say you can use FMU, although most people say it's not recommended since LH is metabolized in the afternoon.
Sorry if this doesn't help at all! I'm sort of rambling...

Re: POS/ OPK question maybe little tmi
how much do you drink during the day?
First, I found it isn't necessary to hold it for 4 hours... but it likely IS necessary to have pee that isn't yellow... FMU would likely cause you to miss your OPK+....
I was having difficulty with this too... This is what I did:
wake-up and pee. drink coffee and pee (this happened at roughly noon) do not drink liquids.... wait for a couple hours.... start drinking again. next time you have the urge to pee, POAS. (This will be somewhere between 230-4pm)

I wouldn't rely on FMU. You supposedly get the surge during the afternoon. Try going out for 2 hours and don't bring any liquids. Then come home and pee.

I never wait 4 hours. I know you're supposed to, but I always forget and just do it. I've never had a problem, and the tests always seem accurate, but I don't know if it would work for everyone.
I also wouldn't use FMU because you should get your surge later in the day. My OPKs say to test between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
