Throw it over a line and beet it with a stick like in the old days? I really have no idea.

I know my vacuum would eat it up. I wanted one for DD's nursery but it doesn't seem to practical.

I remember doing that.... Had a special carpet beater to do that. Never on a windy day though. It would have to be shaken. A rug like that can't be vacuumed, the petal thingies would be sucked into the machine even on the lowest suction setting.

Flip it over and vaccuum the other side to get the dust. Shake the rest out side.

Or, a shop vac, or a vacuum that can turn the beater brush off.
