Post c section pain management
The dr prescribed pain killers for my section recovery his dosage was 1 pill every 4 hrs but in the hospital they were giving me 2 pills every 4 hrs so I continued with that now I will be finished sooner but still feel pain/discomfort do you think if I call they can prescribe more? It's only been 6 days post op

Yes, call! don't be in pain! I was worried asking for meds because I didn't want the doc to thing I had become an addict. She looked at me like I was crazy for waiting to ask. don't miss a dose, it's not worth the pain!

Oh goodness, don't be a hero! Take whatever you need to get through. I was on Vicodin and 600mgs of Ibuprofen for a week straight, then went down to just Ibuprofen. You just had major surgery...take care of yourself!

Call the doctor, but I actually found more relief with Motrin than Percocet. So you may be able to step down to that.

Def call your doctor. No need to be in unnecessary pain. I was on ibuprofen 800 and didn't have to take as much since it was strong. Hope you feel better

Call call call dont be embarrased or feel bad. My c section pain didnt subside till about two weeks later I couldnt function with out my pain meds.

Same here. Motrin was a food group for awhile.

Call and don't be ashamed to do so. I found though that Motrin worked better than Percocet and I was on Motrin for a while.
