Post-partum sadness- can it come and go?

Is it normal to have hormonal mood swings come and go- it's been almost 2 months since I had DD and today i just feel an overwhelming sadness.
It feels like I'm having trouble breathing the hurt inside feels so heavy... and I know in my brain I have no reason to feel this way.

I just saw a picture from my friends' wedding that DH and I were left out of and it crushes me that we live upstate and are not closer to our friends who live in Queens/LI.

I am also still dealing with repercussions from after my C-section where I had 2 allergic reactions- I still have a bad rash from something (not sure what now) all over my legs.

All of this together is just overwhelming and making me miserable! When just a day or two ago I was perfectly happy. Am I just loosing my mind!???!? Chat Icon

For the first 5 months I didn't feel like myself...and was on a downward spiral...I finally spoke to my ob who suggested that I see a therapist and start taken medications. I'm getting better...I'm not 100 % but I'm getting there. Don't be afraid to get help speak to your OB about this.

It does get better...Chat Icon
