Post-retrieval/HCG questions
So, today I feel good, no cramping, but I can still "feel" my ovaries...kind of twingy. They feel "stretched". Is that because there were more follies than eggs retrieved? What happens to the rest of the follies - do you eventually ovulate? Is that why I'm still feeling them?
Also, I know it's been asked a million times before, but I'm curious how long it takes the HCG to get out of your system - I'm seeing answers ranging from 10 - 14 days, so I'm just curious.
When does the stomach bloat go down a bit?? I can't button even my fat pants!!! Althought the dunkin donuts I've been eating this week are definitely not helping that!!

Re: Post-retrieval/HCG questions
You most likely have more follicles that weren't mature- and therefore didn't trigger. They'll eventually be absorbed back in- they won't ovulate on their own. As far as the bloating- drink a 50/50 mix of gatorade/water. That seems to help your body replace the electrolytes that are missing, and will eventually help your body get back to normal. I know they told us not to bother testing during IVF because the trigger stays in your system almost the full amount of time. HTH!

That's not entirely true. You can test out the trigger and see watch as the BFP line gets fainter until it leaves your system. I know from reading my other IVF board that many women find that by 7 or 8dp3dt the trigger is gone, which would be about 12-13 days past the day you took your trigger.
G/L!!!

Yep, this is what I do. I buy the dollar store tests and test every day after trigger to see when it is gone. My first time, it was gone reallly fast. About 4dp3dt! The second time it took longer.
As for the bloat, it never went away for me the first time b/c I got a BFP. The second time the same thing but I m/c'd so after that, the bloat went away with AF.
