Post your New Years Eve Dinner Menus!
First off happy, healthy 2011 to everyone! I thought it would be fun to post our menus for tomorrow night's dinner.
here is mine:
It is just DH and I. We are not big NYE people.
Franks in blankets
mozzarella sticks
Chicken Pot Stickers
Hot Spinach /artichoke dip w/ pita chips
Pizza Rolls
Shrimp cocktail
Tossed green salad
Rib steaks
baked potato
Wine or champagne- not sure which one yet.
Chocolate lava cakes for dessert.

my menu has been revised more than once lol
this is what we'll be going with... i think lol
appetizers:
* artichoke/spinach dip with pita chips, bread and veggies
* chips and dip for the kids
* mexian dips: pico de gallo, quac, refried beans and tortilla chips (mostly for the kids, again)
* savory elephant ears
* veggie platter
dinner:
* turkey pot pie stew served on individual bread bowls
* green salad
* pioneer woman's mashed potatoes
desserts:
* pumpkin pie
* kit kat cake (maybe)
* red velvet cookies
* eggnog cookies
* all the left over candies i still have
* hot chocolate on a stick
**all menu items are subject to change depending on my supermarket trip, tonight

Edamame
Roasted potatoes
And for dessert, I made Brownies last night 
Cheese Fondue (not sure if I will "serve" that before or after dinner)

It's just DH and I and our one year old for dinner. I have a Pot Roast in the oven which I will serve with egg noodles.
About 8pm, my in-laws are coming over and we are doing appetizers and desserts until midnight.

I'm going to my friends house! I know she's serving a giant ziti that I made last week and she froze. There will also be appetizers including dips and stromboli. She's got a 10lb box of King Crab legs also. I'm making a giant salad with my homemade garlic basil vinaigrette. I'm also bringing a cheesecake and an Entemann's marshmallow covered devil's food cake.

okay here's what we did ... it was all kind of last minute. We did a mix of homemade and takeout:
Appetizers:
Grilled baguette slices topped with garlicky basil pesto, sliced mozzarella and either tomato or olives (drizzled with EVOO) - made this
Fried calamari with marinara for dipping (takeout)
Clams Casino (takeout)
Mains:
Grilled steaks with garlic butter (made)
Whole Steamed Lobsters with clarified butter (takeout)
Baked lobster tails (made)
Sides:
Simple pasta salad (made)
Rice (made)
Sliced cucumber
Roasted potatoes (made)
Dessert:
Cookies from Italian bakery
Homemade Mexican wedding cookies
Brownie sundaes - homemade brownies topped with ice cream, sprinkles, chocolate chips, walnuts, hot fudge, and homemade whipped cream
