Posting Anonymously again. Work related
So I work for this great company, I started here in the winter and love(d) it. Problem is the two presdients of this company are married and going through (from what I see) a terrible separation. Because they are both my direct reports, I am begining to get thrown into the middle of this. He will come and scream at me because I didn't show him something, when his wife would tell me she showed it to him and it was approved. The guy thinks I am a moron because it has happened now on more than one occasion. One time he thought something was due 2 months before hand and SHE blamed me that I didn't get it done, WHEN IN FACT it never was due 2 months before hand. I let her throw me under the bus. I cannot get in between this
I am begining to feel that the guy is starting to think I am unrealiable when the miscommunications are because of the situation here. Please don't tell me to talk to him---IMPOSSIBLE. This clearly is not a normal work place. Veterans here told me this sort of thing happened 6 years ago and the ones who ended up siding with wife or husband were eventually fired when they got back together.
I am forced to work with her more than him (he is like the mayor never around). What am I supposed to here?

Do everything via email and cc both on every single email. That way they are both kept in the loop about what you are doing.
Is there anyone more senior that you can talk to? What about HR?

I would do the same. That way everyone is on the same page.

I agree!
This is good advice. Make sure you keep a hard copy for yourself just in case of computer problems.

I would put them both in a room and smack them around. How dare they put you in the middle!!!
I'm serious. Call a meeting, wear your helmet and come prepared to defend yourself.
