Pot of sauce—solve a debate between me and my sister!

If you made a fresh pot of sauce with meatballs and sausage last Sunday and sent me home with a container, how long would said container be good for? (It was kept in the fridge, not the freezer.)

In the fridge? Hmmm with meat? I would not eat it past today.

3 days in my opinion. Longer if it didn't have meat.

if the meat was in it, no more than 3 days later. sauce alone would be fine for a week in the fridge

3-4 days...it would depend upon the container. If it were plain sauce I would say a week.

Re: Pot of sauce—solve a debate between me and my sister!

Because the meat was cooked - 1 week.
I've kept it in the fridge that long and had no problem.

Ditto this!

But, I would say in the future to separate the meat from the sauce.
