pottery barn backpack for my kindergarten
DD is starting kindergarten and I'm not sure which bag to get her the small or large. Anyone have experience with there bags. Is the large really big?

The small is quite small. I got one last year for pre k and a folder would not even fit. Ended up using for his toys.

My DS had the large for K.
And I just bought ther small for DD for preK and exchanged it for the large bc I felt it was too small.

The large. You should check with your school. Ours requests large backpacks. I have had the large for 2 years and hot my younger one the large for kindergarten this fall. Remember it isn't just folders. For us, my k and then 1st grader had a snack bag, lunch bag, work book, notebook, library books, art work, sometimes a sweater, small bottle of water.

My son used the small size pb kids backpack all through kindergarten last year. It is not super small, imo. He fit his folder and lunch bag in there just fine with room for a coat or whatever. The large would have been gigantic on him.
