potty training, bath room on the second floor

I don't want to give them access to the bathroom because then they will have access to my kitchen and not only do they ransack the kitchen they have now learned to open my back door and let themselves and our pets out of the house. I need to get DH to put locks high up on the doors, but I am having a hard time getting him to do it. There are just so many times I can deal with it in a day before I start considering going on anti anxiety medication so instead I block them out, unless I am in there.

Oh, so the point was, I keep the potties in the living room. LOL One of my twins has been awesome with the potty training. She has only had a couple of accidents in the last 3 days. I am diapering at night though, day time naps she has stayed dry. My other twin has not made on the potty once. Yesterday we went out and bought a ton of big girl panties. She loves wearing them so hopefully she will be inspired to keep them dry and try the potty.

I read the 3 day potty training e-book but I found it wouldn't work for us because it was inflexible with some of the demands and required 2 people (one for each twin). However I did still find a lot of the program useful and motivating. It's a fast easy read.

I may not get it done in 3 days but I will hopefully keep my sanity :O) I wasn't even planning to start but my girls are always getting naked. Monday I gave up trying to keep them dressed. I said well, if you are going to be naked you have to put the pee pee in the potty. My one twin said "poopy", went over to the potty, sat down and made her first pee pee on the potty. Then she continued to use it all day long. The next morning she said "naked potty" and I took her clothes off and she used it again and make her first poopy :o) She had been handing me diapers and wipes and telling me to change her a lot. So I knew she was aware when she was making. My other one, not much interest but the book said 22 months is the ideal age and they are already over that.

I'm not at that point yet, but my friend was in the same situation.

She just kept the potty in the dining room and left some books by it. He would sit on the potty and read. . lol.
