powder vs ready made formula
I started the powder yesterday and I dont think it smells the same or looks the same as the ready made from the hospital. she also seems very fussy. Am I doing something wrong? Is ready made better?

Re: powder vs ready made formula
We started with RTF and then switched to powder when she was 2 months old. Powder is cheaper. RTF is thicker I think. They both smell equally bad to me.

Re: powder vs ready made formula
The powder is definately thinner. I have only used this because I felt it was closer to breastmilk, which I gave her for the first 5 months. I felt that the RTF was too thick for her. I also think that the powder doesn't stain her clothes like the RTF does.

You're not doing anything wrong at all. The RTF is definitely thicker than the powder!

Re: powder vs ready made formula
Usually the powder is different smell and consistency (ie: watery). Are you using the same brand as the RTF? If not maybe that is why your DC is fussy. She could also be fussy because most babies start to fuss a bit once they're home from the hospital. My ped said RTF and powder weren't different other than the smell/consistency but I think RTF may be easier for them to keep down b/c it is a bit thicker. But that's my personal experience.
