Re: Pray For Texas...here somes Rita - Cat. 5 now
Our home in Corpus is pretty solid, but I am worried about the winds. A Lot of our neighbors are staying. So Crazy! I have called so many times trying to convince my dad. They were contemplating and this morning, once they found out it was headed slightly north, they decided to stay. It is so hard living here knowing that this catastrophic hurricane is hitting the Gulf. Too Scary! It's been tough getting through the telephone lines.

We used to live on Ocean Drive in Corpus. I would be so out of their if I still lived there but I think with it moving north your Dad will be ok as long as he is Corpus and not N.Padre. I can only imagine what a mess the SPID must be with traffic.

My father feels it would be worse off in San Antonio (they were planning on going there) with all the rain and all.
ETA: So it is not going to Corpus. Whew!!! But, I am really worried for those who are still travelling.
