I hate to ask for prayers when there are so many more people who need them. But.... my family are holding their breaths that my SIL (she isn't yet our SIL but as good as) does not have cancer. She has been sick since Oct. The health care in Ireland is really bad. Anyway they think she may have Hotchkins. We will know more tomorrow. She is only 27. I am devastated as is my family and hers. She is a wonderful person.
Nothing is confirmed yet but it is cancer or a rare form of TB. But I am more upset that my Mom & her Mom have decided not to tell her or my brother! So f*cking fustrated! They are running more tests. Thanks for everyones wishes.
2/18/09 T has stage 4 Hotchkins. She will be starting treatments next week. They are putting in a central line on Friday & talking to her about her options regarding fertility for the future. My brother is heart broken but trying to be strong.
2/26/09 T had a really bad reaction to chemo and was unconcious for hours. The Dr's apparently where freaking out. She has cancer in her bone marrow. She got fitted for her wig yesterday. She will never have kids. It is so sad.
Health care in Ireland is much different from here. Her family had a meeting with the Dr because they wanted to know what was going on. T has been getting the run around for weeks so they are trying to show that they nolonger want to be given the runaround. Her Mom called my Mom. They dont want to upset her any further by telling her she may have cancer until they know 100%. I totally do not agree with this.
