A few months ago my grandmother had congestive heart failure ,and her heart was 3 x's it should be !! Her oxygen levels were around where your GF's are at ..plus she had pnemonia! To our amazement she pulled through ,and is in a rehab for her legs b/c she retained so much fluid it was leaking through her legs ( sorry TMI) she had an infection and didnt walk for a long time !I I pray your GF pulls through this like my GM did !! I will keep praying for him ,and please fm me if you need to talk !!!!!
My father has been intubated 3 times in the last 3 years, I hope that your grandfather pulls through!!! It is so heartbreaking to see them try to take the tubes out--they had to tie my dad's hands to the bed so he couldn't hurt himself.
I hope he is ok. If you are not happy with the hospital you should get him out of there. Is there another doctor affiliated with another hospital you could call for advice?
There are wonderful ambulances that are mobile ICUs. I learned a very hard lesson that just because someone says someone can't be moved, it's not necessarily so.
