My son had a slight *cough* yesterday and even though my vacation & sick time is scarce these days, I was going to keep him home. My DH, who has NO SICK time, offered to keep him home and work an extra saturday next week... He's always been the type to just grin & bear it when it seems like "just a cold" but he said b/c of what was going on with this woman, he HAD to take DS to the doctor.
YOU NEVER KNOW...
It's an awful awful situation... She was FINE... just got sick... and a few weeks later, she's gone.
I can't imagine what her family is going through.
and what really makes me sad is that she JUST finished school... something all of us in the program are striving for and working our @sses off for.
I remember my mom telling me once:
"You know, probably most people who died in the WTC attacks were going to work that morning, worried about their mortgages, worrying about their finances, or future... stressing about SOMETHING..."
that always had an impact on me.. and I am REALLY REALLY trying to live in the moment these days.
I hugged Aidan extra extra tight last night.
