Prayers please
My sister was just diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. She goes in for surgery on the 13th. My mom is going down to Florida to be with her and watch the kids....She has the surgery and then Radiation Therapy a week or so later.
Please pray for my sister and my nieces and nephew. My sister lost her DH 6 years ago to Melanoma. This poor kids already lost their Dad. (Amanda 13, Aurora 11, & Jake 9)...
From what I understand it's very treatable..If anyone has any information on Thyroid Cancer I'd appreciate it...

I'm going in for my c-section tomorrow morning, so I won't be around for a few days, but you can definitely FM me. I had papillary thyroid cancer 6 years ago, had my thyroid totally removed and had radiation therapy. They say thyroid cancer is the most treatable, just like you said. And for me, everything worked out fine.

I am so sorry to hear this.
A friend of mine had this and is 100% okay now. She had her's removed, and then had radiation. She is as good as new, and supposedly it is the "best" type of cancer to get. Not sure how that makes sense but that is what many people told me when I was talking to them about my friend.

I had thyroid cancer 9 years ago and also had my thyroid removed and have been perfectly fine since then.

Heather,
My co worker had it. She had the surgery and the radiation and had no ill effects from it. She will be on synthroid the rest of her life and I believe she was on beta blockers for a couple of months. She even got pregnant a year later and now has a little girl. She has a scar on neck/throat from the surgery but that is all. I will that she will be fine.
There is another teacher in my building that also had it at 21, she is completely fine too.
