Pre-Employment Physical
Anyone ever have one? Did you disclose some of your medical problems to this doctor or pretend everything was ok?

My DH had one b/c he works on a plant where there is chemicals and stuff.
He didn't disclose any previous issues, but he really didn't have any issues either.

I have a drug screening and a full blown physical today. I am not sure what I should tell them or not. I have IBS and Epstein Barr. I am thinking of not mentioning them.

I had to have one bc I work at an agency where I have to go into schools and training centers with disabled individuals. It's ok to mention it - it's confidential.

Same here. But if it was a job that was physical I'd be honest in case anything ever happened on the job you'd be covered.

I don't I'd be honest.
Call me cynical but with health insurance costs the way they are these days employers are looking for ways to save money. Perhaps, if they know you have a chronic condition they won't hire you. I've seen several stories about this. There is talk that this might become a new way of discriminating against hiring people in the future.

I just had one done at my regular physician, who filled out the paperwork. If you have to go to a company doctor, I wouldn't mention it. If you go to your own doctor, he/she might be obligated to mention it.
