Pre-K hours

DD is currently three years old and goes to nursery school 3 days a week for 2.5 hours a day. For next year I could send her 3,4, or 5 days a week for 3 hours, or full day. BTDT what do you recommend? I don't think I want her full time but I'd like to hear all opinions.

TIA

Pre-K hours

I think it depends on the child. When my first DS was 4, I knew he needed as much school as possible. He went five days a week from 8:30-2:15. I'm not sure I will send my second DS for as much next year when he turns 4.

Re: Pre-K hours

For 3-yr-old preschool we sent DD 2 days a week for a full day (9-3)

This year for pre-k we send her 3 days a week for a full day (9-3) but she does go in early sometimes for pre-care at 7am...

Re: Pre-K hours

I took a progressive approach -

Nursery (3yo) - 3 mornings a week
Pre-K (4yo) - 5 morning a week
Kindergarten - 5 full days in my district

Re: Pre-K hours

Yes kindergarten is full day so I'm thinking either 5 days half day or 3 days full day

Re: Pre-K hours

Im a pre-k teacher. I have all full days (8:00-2:20). Some of my students come 5 full days and others only come 3 full days a week. It really depends on your child but all of my students have adjusted to a full day schedule and they enjoy it!
