Pre natals vitamins- TMI
How hard are they on your stomach?? The reason I wrte TMI is bc i have struggled w/ BAD IBS my whole life and have major difficulties "going" and i get bloated easily bc of it. It is REALLY hard for me to take anything that has iron so.... HELP

At first they bothered me a bit, but it could have been just being pregnant.
Start taking them now because eventually you will have to anyway!

I cannot take them at all. I didn't take them in my first pg or this one. Just try to get a mutli vitamin that is as close to the suggested daily values of the most important vitamins and minerals, and you will be fine.
The pre- natals, and I have tried them all -made me sick to my stomach, bloated, constipated and horrible heart burn- not going to do it to myself.

I have a very weak stomach and I'm able to tolerate them just fine. I'm on novastart. Good luck!!

I have suffered with IBS my whole life also. I've not had a problem with pre-natals, but then I take a chewable kind that must be taken on an empty stomach. Can hardly swallow a pill.
Not sure if you are doing fiber supplements but I have recently been very good with taking them daily. I take it in powder form (I use Gary Nulls Friendly Fiber, which is all natural). I am staying away from white flour (which means Italian bread and bagels) and pasta. My IBS systems have been really great recently. Just thought I'd share. FM me if you want.

I suffered from horrible IBS in college, but the last 5 years it has been much better for some reason.
However, I find the prenatals make me really bloated & constipated also. I have been suffering through it though and eating Fiber One cereal, which seems to help.
Sorry I can't be of more help - maybe call your doctor and ask them to try a different brand?

I have always had similar issues and have had trouble taking vitamins of any kind. My sisters all had issues with pre-natals so I was really worried. My OB/GYN prescribed the PrimaCARE one prenatals and I haven't had any issues, my IBS issues have actaully improved

I take mine at night when I go to bed-- that way if I have any averse reactions, I am sleeping during it.

I have IBS too and have had no ill effects taking pre-natals. I take Prima-Care one and I take them at night.
