Preggo Crashing- Moms who had rough pregnancies
I'm 25 weeks & if anyone remembers, I've been dealing with a herniated disc, as well as horrendous pubic pain/lower back/hip pain. I've been in physical therapy 3-4x a week & while it's sloooowly getting better, it's still excruciating & unbearable every day. I'm home all day so there's really nothing to distract me from the pain. My OB prescribed me Percocet, but I honestly will only take a half of a pill if I'm on the floor crying in pain (which is every night) When the pain got so bad a few weeks ago, I ended up having contractions, so I try to avoid it getting to that level.
I always thought I wanted a big family like I come from (I'm the youngest of 5 siblings) but now I can't imagine ever wanting to become pregnant ever again!!!! I already am sad for my unborn DS because I don't know if he'll ever have siblings.
Have any of you had a really horrible experience being pregnant with your 1st and then got pregnant again in the future? How was it the 2nd time around? Thanks for letting me vent. I'm just so miserable & I still have over 3 months to go!

Re: Preggo Crashing- Moms who had rough pregnancies
I had the worst worst morning sickness 24/7 for 8 months with DS 1. I felt like I was starving to death, was put on zofran. I didn't have much pain though.I also had the worst constipation issues / hemorroid issues ever. I aslo bled through much of my pregnancy. My second DS was worse for MS, the zofran didn't work as much , I had depression and anxiety issues I never had before, and I was in so much PAIN! I was not bleeding as much and my constipation was so much better. the truth of the matter is that every pregnancy is different, and you could get lucky and have an easy second third etc pregnancy
In the end all the pain and suffering is so worth it. i know that doesn't help you right now tho!

Re: Preggo Crashing- Moms who had rough pregnancies
I had a very difficult pregnancy with DS. He was in a bad position, pushed back so he was causing my optic nerves to swell and have my brain think that I had a tumor. I had a head ache from 25 weeks until I delivered DS at 39 weeks. During that time I had double vision, floaters, halos, spots, and blurred vision. I had morning sickness for 7 months 5-10 times a day. I developed pre-eclampsia and was on strict left side only bed rest for 6 weeks. DS had one foot and his tush down and his head and the other foot up.
I was petrified to get pregnant again. Well I did and when I had DD I had morning sickness less than 5 times the entire pregnancy. She was transverse breech until the end. I had a wonderful pregnancy for her with no complications at all.

Thanks. I know they say every pregnancy is different, and maybe the 2nd time around would be better. I don't even know why I'm torturing myself thinking about the 2nd one when I haven't even gotten through the 1st one yet. I'm just so scared of ever being in this amount of pain again. And I know it could always be worse. I know there have been women on here with worse situations than mine. I've just never felt this much pain for this long.

Whoa! OK, that helps. That's pretty reassuring. I can't imagine thinking I have a tumor. Geesh!

Re: Preggo Crashing- Moms who had rough pregnancies
I'm sorry you are having such a rough time. The hormones don't help, I know. I didn't have such a rough time with my first but it was so hard with my second. back/hip/sciatic pain that had me basically disabled. there were nights i would cry in pain and from being unable to walk, bend, sit, and do things, esp. for my older one. the last few weeks of the pregnancy i couldn't even take care of her by myself. that being said, my L&D wasn't bad at all and i thought the pain was going to make it so terrible. they didn't even give me a problem getting the epidural, which my doctor said they might b/c of fear of disc problems (when it was the baby on my nerve(s)). since i gave birth, i haven't had any problems.
