Pregnancy & Bridal Party Question
Ok, I'm sure someone has been in this situation before so I'm looking for some info. I will be in a wedding party this summer and while I won't be pregnant by the time this wedding rolls around, I have to get fitted for this dress in the next 2 weeks. I am almost 8 mos pregnant so how does that work? Obviously my size is going to be way off right now. Will they take measurements and just 'guess' what size i will need? I'm just curious.
Thanks.

Re: Pregnancy & Bridal Party Question
I kinda had a similar situation... I had to order a dress a few months ago for a wedding thats in July and didnt go to the store to get fitted... What I did was look at the designers size chart and see what I would normally be... And then I ordered 2 sizes up for fear that my boobs may still be huge from BF and who knows how much weight I will really lose after baby is here... So I erred on the side of caution... Dress can always be taken in, but its a lot more difficult to let out

Re: Pregnancy & Bridal Party Question
I had the same situation. My sister is getting married in a few weeks. I was about 4 months pregnant when we went bridesmaid dress shopping. One of the other bridesmaids was also pregnant at the time, just a couple weeks behind me. We both guessed on our size because there really is no way to tell. But like PP said, we both erred on the side of caution and ordered up. I only ordered one size above my normal size because it was my second pregnancy so I kind of had an idea what my body would be like after delivery. It was her first, so she had no idea and ordered WAY up. My dress ended up fitting perfectly. Hers was too big, so just a few weeks ago, she just exchanged it for a smaller size. And another bridesmaid who wasn't pregnant at the time is pregnant now, so she had to exchange her dress too! I think most places would be fine with you exchanging for another size if you find out the size you ordered doesn't work.

Re: Pregnancy & Bridal Party Question
I'm in a wedding four weeks after I deliver. I was measured when I was about 12 weeks and no belly except bloat and we ordered two sizes up from there. I'm 30 weeks now and only gained weight in my belly and sides so far. Still wearing my normal bras and just filling them out more than usual. I'm looking at the wedding as a time to finally feel pretty and am hoping it will convince my to make healthy food choices once baby is here. We'll see!

Re: Pregnancy & Bridal Party Question
I would go up 1-2 sizes from your pre-pregnancy size especially fi you're planning on BFing. The BM dress I needed to order at 8 months pregnant was a J Crew dress so I just ordered 2 different sizes and tried them on. Since they were A line, they still fit over my belly, but the dress 1 size bigger didn't zip up over my ribs/chest. I ended up keeping the dress 2 sizes larger. I wore the dress at 5.5 months PP. It was a little big in the waist, but fit perfectly on my chest. It's easier for them to take something in than let it out.
