Pregnancy calendar question
My mom bought me the pregnancy calendar and I want to start filling it in but I'm not sure what date to start it with. It says to start with the first day of your last period (Oct. 30) which puts me at 6 weeks. But I ovulated CD18 (Nov. 16) which really only makes me 5 weeks. Did anyone else have this problem? I'm confused.

Re: Pregnancy calendar question
Same thing happened to me. I started with a date a week later, so that the # of weeks would be correct.

Re: Pregnancy calendar question
Since it works on a 28 day cycle. I would just make your period 4 days later.....to accomadate the day 18 ovulation. Shoudl bring you to the correct day?

Re: Pregnancy calendar question
If you go to www.babyzone.com, they have an accurate pregnancy calendar - you just have to type in your information like the first day of your last period, etc. You can use that as a reference to fill in the calendar that you have. I was confused at first too. I finally understand it a little better though...
When it says you are 5 weeks pregnant, it means you just COMPLETED your 5th week and have now enetered your 6th week. So you would technically be 5 weeks and something days pregnant. On babyzone, it will say you are 5 weeks pregnant but IN your 6th week, meaning you haven't yet completed the 6th week. I know it sounds confusing but it will start to make more sense as you go along.
Oh, babycenter.com also has a pregnancy calendar that may help.

Re: Pregnancy calendar question
ETS: They use the first day of your last period to start counting the weeks, so even though you weren't pregnant at that time, you count in the approximately 2 weeks before you ovulated/conceived as well.

this is all true, but what shes saying is for her it was 2 and 1/2 weeks ......not 2 weeks making her not as far along as all the standard calendars are saying

I ovulated on day 21....so I would just start 14 days before the day you ovulated!
