Pregnancy insurance?
Someone told me that Aflec has a policy for expectant mothers with dibilitating morning sickness, etc. Has anyone heard of this?

Re: Pregnancy insurance?
I actually just signed up for AFLAC insurance for maternity leave purposes. It's Aflac disability insurance.
You get majority of your income back during your maternity leave. It will cost me $20 a week, but I will collect almost all of my salary. They have different plans at different prices.
You need to be on the program for 2 months before you get pregnant, so you may want to sign up now.
I don't know all the details but they do cover pregnancy issues. Since it's disability insurance I believe if your doctor says you can't work because of it, you'll collect the $$.
I can check my booklet, if you want more info.

Re: Pregnancy insurance?
Thank you so much for the info. My sister was so sick when she was pregnant and I'm so worried about the same thing happening to me.

Re: Pregnancy insurance?
I looked into short term disability through Aflac and your employer has to be affliated with Aflac in order to sign up. Unfortunately, mine is not and I couldn't get a policy on my own.
