Pregnancy Skin Care
Hey everyone....I'm new at this and have a ton of question but one in particular is skin care. Did anyone change their brands or regimin when they found out they were pregnant or did you continue like normal? I know the basics of no retinol or salycilic acid (sorry about the spelling) but I'm not sure what to do. I use dermalogica right now and my first appt is in a few more weeks. Any guidance would be much appreciated! Thanks ladies!

Re: Pregnancy Skin Care
Ugh, I've always had problematic skin that I've dealt with using meds and skincare products. It's just gotten worse with pregnancy now. To top it off, I feel like anything that would help, we're not allowed to use! I've tried oatmeal, every face wash under the sun, repeated washings, etc. I just don't think much is working..

Re: Pregnancy Skin Care
I have always had bad skin with horrible break-outs and was using Retin A prior to conceiving. All that had to stop and I now use Almay ultra-calming cleanser and moisurizer. My skin has never been better! I'm actually dreading my skin returning to normal after the birth but I think I will stick with the Almay until I see how it goes.

Re: Pregnancy Skin Care
i have been liking Yes to Tomatoes, especially the mask. Also make sure to exfoliate a few times per wk. My doc (and my previous doc for DS) says salycillic acid is fine, btw.

Re: Pregnancy Skin Care
I was just wondering this myself because I just got all sorts of great stuff for my skin from my sister (she works for a skin care line) and now I am afraid that I wont be able to use it! I should find out for sure..

Re: Pregnancy Skin Care
That's a great question. My face has been an oil slick and breaking out like crazy since I got pregnant. I normally use Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminiating Daily Scrub - should I not be using this???? It said the active ingredient is Salicylic Acid 2%
