prenatal vitamin question
we are in the process of TTC and i dont know if this belongs here or onthe TTC board but i was wondering it there is a prenatal vitamin without iron. i want to start taking them now ahead of time and last time the iron made me very ill. can someone suggest a pill for me. my doctor gave me one with 27 mg of iron and i felt horrible from taking it.

i used the CVS brand when TTC i am not sure if it has iron in it, but it was not heavy on my stomach.

I too got very sick on my prenatal vitamins with Julia, and we are TTC now too, and my doctor told me that I can take my womans one a days instead.

i asked if i can take a multi and folic and they said no gave me citracal prenatal +DHA
im not suppose to have additional iron in my diet and although its 27mg its additional iron and i think thats what is making me sick.

at the end I was taking Flintstones...worked for me...I hated those horepills I had prescribed for me.

Before I got PG, I just took a woman's one a day multivitamin too. It had most of what the prenatals have, in lower amounts, and I switched to the prenatals as soon as I got PG.

i looked on the web and couldnt find any brands. with the first pregnancy i took a multi and a folic acid. got to ask the doctor if i can do this again.

Many one a day types have a lot of folic in them now. I didn't take prenatals, the iron bothered me as well. I used one a day women's formula and DD and DS both came out perfect

with DD I got very ill on the prenatels. With this pregnancy they out me on Natelle EZ and I love them. THey are suppose to be more gentle...I think they work.
