I go to a yoga studio in Melville called Silk Wind Studio www.silkwindstudio.com and I love it! She only has prenatal classes once a week (Monday at 11) which I can't go to because I work. But I go to her evening or Sat. Morning classes and she just modifies for me. She's wonderful!

Last pregnancy I went to Prana Pilates and Yoga in St. James. They don't always have the prenatal classes on the schedule due to low attendance, but Lauren and Nicole are awesome and can modify poses for you in a regular class.

I couldn't find any that were at the times I wanted or that weren't a complete rip-off. I went to Sams Club and bought a Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga DVD for $10. It's great!

I'm a yoga teacher. :) I teach mostly in the Huntington area, but there's a great prenatal class at Absolute Yoga in Woodbury, where I also teach. (and if you already practice, I recommend taking a level 1 class...nothing too crazy or warm....and just telling the teacher) A good teacher will know exactly what to tell you not to do and keep an eye out on you.

Prana Pilates and Yoga has classes twice a week! If you call and talk to Lauren she will tell you which class is best to go to!

Satya yoga and pilates studio in Mt. Sinai offers it on Sundays. You can check out their website and contact Meilissa at www.satyayogaandpilates.com if that's a convenient location for you.
