My DS goes to St. Joseph's in Babylon. We like it and he has a great time there.

Re: Preschool rec's in the Lindenhurst area
DD goes to St. Martin of Tours in Amityville.. the preschool program is 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours a session and costs about $180/month.
I LOOOOOVE DD's teacher, Mrs. Garry- she's the sweetest person and even potty trained Maddie which is amazing!
I heard the preschool at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Lindy is good too- Catholic schools week is coming up and they'll have open houses- let me know if you want info on St. Martin's- you can take a tour of the school.

Tomorrow night going to check out St. John's Lutheran Nursery school; they have an open house at 6:30 pm.
Catholic Schools week begins Jan. 31; they generally have open house after mass to tour the school; ask q's & get info.

Re: Preschool rec's in the Lindenhurst area
I saw several of the schools in the area and we chose to send DD to St Joseph's in Babylon. I was torn between that and Grace UMC on Wellwood one block up from Montauk Hwy.

Becky goes to Just Kids in Lindy. She got in through the lottery.... free for kids in the district. I have nothing but good things to say about it. She goes 5 afternoons a week.

Re: Preschool rec's in the Lindenhurst area
well, you know both of my kids have been going to miss midgies for a while now and they both have done great there and its extremely affordable, made alot of friends and interact well with other kids and teachers . they do alot with them and always have something going on at the school. they are having their open house i believe on Feb 27.....but i also heard pee wee folks is a good place too. one of my friends sent her kid for a year at alphabet kids and she said parking was atrocious everytime at drop off and pick and something else id rather not say on here incase its offensive if someone is currently sending their child there from LIF. Have you gone to any schools yourself yet? sometimes you need to get a feel for what you think is best .Good luck with your search!
