Preschool. South shore nassau
my DS went to South Shore. I really liked the school. The teacher was great. He loved it there. Not sure it really prepared him for kindergarten but that could just be him...he wasn't interested in reading and writing until 1st grade.

This. But I was happy with the preparation. I'm not a fan of academic preschools though.

My sister had all four of her kids go to Pixie nursery school in wantagh...if i lived closer to there my kids would have went too

My DS went to Wee Friends in Wantagh...I can't say enough good things about it. It was warm and nurturing and a fun environment, but also very structured with an academic focus (that was age appropriate). DS was very well prepared for K (he's in first now).
