Preschool teacher gifts....WWYD?
DD goes to preschool 2 days a week for 1.5 hours. The class moms are taking up a collection to buy Amex gift cards for the teacher and 2 assistants. They are only collecting $13. There are 12 children. What should I do in addition to that? It doesn't seem like very much to me.

I plan on getting DD's teachers Amex giftcards from her. There was no mention of a "group" gift and this was what I was plainning to do.
Bath sets are always nice, or a nice pair of silver earrings. Nothing crazy!

As a teacher I would love it if I got a gift certificate to Border's Books or a Teacher's Supply store. It could be something small. Those gifts help me to purchase children's books or professional books for my classroom.

MIL is a nursery school teacher. She usually gets a class gift and individual gifts from a lot of the students. She gets a lot of different things, but mostly prefers gift certificates.

i get so many gifts from all of my students...so I always prefer gift certificates ANYWHERE! I get so many bath sets, etc!
