Priceless pictures!!!
I just received these today..these are pictures of my son Paulos' mom and dad who both passed awat from AIDS. I feel so blessed to have these pictures for him, Im going to have them restored and isnt this so cool!!!??? Im so excited to have them! Paulos looks EXACTLY like his mother, same lips, same cheekbones.,.just priceless Image Attachment(s):

That's really great that you were able to get those pictures for him. When he's older, he will thank you for tracing and keeping his family memoirs...
You are so incredible..and so caring....I'm so glad that you all three have joined paths......that's really wonderful.

He is lucky to have someone who loves and cares so much about him and preserving his roots.
I'm not sure if you plan on doing anything with the photos now but here are some cute holiday ideas:

When was the last time he saw his birth parents? Does he remember them at all?

Unfortunately I dont have the oriiginal pictures, those were scanned to me..Ill download them and have them fixed up nicely though. Paulos remembers his father, his father died last year, his mother died two years ago, but he says he doesnt remember her. My feeling is that it was painful and he blocked her out. Biruk remembers his mother, she just passed away last year also, but his father passed when he was small. Im still working on pictures for him. I get so excited at any piece of info that I find out!!! Its like putting together a puzzle...I learned that his mother graduated from high school and was planning to go to college when she died. His father was a driver and they were tigether through an arranged marriage. One sad bit of news though was that I heard that the parents fought often. Whatever they did with him though, he is an amazing polite, wonderful little boy.. he was loved..its hows in his actions. Both boys were definately loved by their parents. Im so glad for that.

I have followed your story and it is so great to see how you have taken these boys in-you are truly a generous spirit. You might want to consider making him a small scrapbook, putting those pictures plus any more you can get and maybe some stuff about his homeland. My friends and i do this as we each get married and they have been treasured by all. You can get scrapbooking stuff at Family Dollar and Wal-Mart pretty inexpensively. good luck
