Pricing for roofing and siding (with Poll)
We are in the process of getting estimates for a new roof and siding. I was just wondering what the average cost would be.

I think we paid about 20K for roofing and siding. 15K for siding, 5K for roof.
I think we upgraded the siding though, so I say the range is def 12-15k. We have a colonial - probably a similar amount of siding.

Simple siding, or cedar impression? There's a noticeable price difference. What type of roofing? There's also a big difference between simple 15 year shingles, and high-end lifetime slate-look shingles.

Cedar in the Front and Vinyl on the sides and back. The roof we are looking into is 30 years.

We just re-sided our hi-ranch (2 sides, back, top part of front) with regular vinyl and it was $9k. Cedar impressions will probably increase the price at least another $1K (probably more). Not sure about prices on roof.
